Please pass along to high school and college students (and their parents) that there will be grant-funded underage drinking party enforcement efforts conducted by Maryland State Police, Calvert County Sheriff’s Office, and Natural Resources Police in combined efforts, in order to reduce the number of local teens killed in alcohol and drug involved crashes.
Also, thanks to all of the volunteers, especially the Fire and EMS volunteers from Prince Frederick and Huntingtown Volunteer Fire Departments and Rescue Squads, there will be Mock Crash educational programs conducted at Huntingtown and Calvert High Schools at the end of March. The mock crash programs will also have an educational component inside the auditoriums – with MVA’s Administrative Judges presenting the “Branded DUI” video program, which features a dozen Maryland students, including Northern and Patuxent High Schools, discussing their DUI arrests and/or crashes and their experiences with the MVA, Juvenile Justice and Court systems afterwards.
