PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. – Calvert Hospice was the grateful recipient of a $500 donation from Wayne Shoemaker – State Farm Agent. The donation will support Calvert Hospice children’s grief programs, including Camp Phoenix and Journeys support group. We are so thankful to Mr. Shoemaker and his staff for choosing our organization. Mr. Shoemaker shared, “These are difficult times, and we appreciate the work that Calvert Hospice does with children of grieving families in our community. Our hope is that our donation will help support their efforts.”

The grief support services Calvert Hospice provides to Calvert County are vital, but they are a cost that is not reimbursed by Medicare or other insurance companies. Donations like Mr. Shoemaker’s allow us to run programs for adults and children in our community who have lost a loved one. If you are in need of grief support, please contact us at 410-535-0892.
