Prince Frederick, MD –ย The hottest week of summerโso farโwas a time to jump on a spinning fan to cool off. Thatโs just what kids and adults did, too at the annual Prince Frederick Volunteer Fire Department (Company 2) Carnival. There were plenty of spinning rides for everyone during the five-day carnival, an August tradition in Calvert County.
One Company 2 volunteer told The BayNet the crowds were great all weekโTuesday, Aug. 9 through Saturday, Aug. 13–despite the humidity. The event was held at the currently vacant parcel at northbound Route 2/4 and East Dares Beach Road.
โThe members of the Prince Frederick Volunteer Fire Department would like to thank everyone for coming out and supporting our annual carnival this past week,โ Company 2 officials stated on their Facebook page. โWhether your favorite part was the rides, the games, the carnival food, or winning a fish, we hope you all had a great time. Our fundraisers are dependent on the support of the community members we serve. We can’t thank you enough for helping us have another great year at the carnival.โ
Company 2โs next big event is their car show Sept. 10.
