Giving to and participating in the community is a core value for Chaney Enterprises, a value recognized by the National Stone, Sand and Gravel Association last month during the NSSGAโ€™s conference in Las Vegas.

Chaney Enterprises received the 2007 NSSGA Silver Award in Community Relations, one of 33 companies recognized nationwide. The company was noted for its commitment to education, mentoring, philanthropy, government involvement, community outreach, employee programs and plant appearance.

Throughout the year, Chaney Enterprises employees participate in many community events, including March of Dimesโ€™ Walk America, school career days and the companyโ€™s annual Bull Roast, a fundraiser for the American Cancer Society.

The company donates 10 percent of its overall net profit to the Chaney Foundation, which was founded in 1987. Additionally, Chaney Enterprises has provided monetary and material donations to support community projects and initiatives, such as Christmas in April.
