The offices of Charles County Government, the Tri-County Animal Shelter in Hughesville, the Charles County Sanitary Landfill and Composting Facility off Billingsley Road in Waldorf, and the Pisgah Recycling Center on Route 425 in Pisgah will be closed on Monday, May 25, in observance of the Memorial Day holiday.
The holiday will affect the curbside weekly yard waste and every-other-week recycling collection services. Service will be suspended on Memorial Day, and resume the following day. Those who receive Monday “B” Week every-other-week curbside recycling and Monday yard waste collection services will have their recyclables picked up on Tuesday, May 26. Those who receive Tuesday “B” every-other-week curbside recycling and Tuesday yard waste collection services will have their recyclables picked up on Wednesday, May 27.
