LUSBY, Md. – Calvert County Parks and Recreation has announced that Chesapeake Hills Golf Course’s brand new clubhouse will finally open on Tuesday, March 12, 2024.
The new 8,150 square-foot clubhouse will feature a Pro Shop, the 19th Hole restaurant and bar, a conference room, staff offices, as well as a ballroom and patio for wedding and special occasion rentals.
“Please Note: Chesapeake Hills Golf Course will not have phone or internet access on Monday, March 11, from 2-4 p.m. while electronics and service are transitioned from the temporary trailer to the new clubhouse,” said Parks and Rec via a social media post. “The phone outage may last longer than expected but access is expected to resume no later than Tuesday, March 12. We thank you for your patience and understanding as we make this exciting move!”

Millions and millions spent on a money losing golf course and clubhouse which has never been, nor ever will be, profitable. All the while county roads are crap and in dire need of resurfacing and repair. Priorities out of wack in Calvert.
Oh ye of little faith! A business can and will succeed with positive support from patrons. From what I can see.. and hear about..a lot of work and effort has been put forward to help in a successful golf course. Give it your support!!
It is a Calvert County Government owned facility. It is NOT a business. Millions upon millions of taxpayer dollars has been wasted on this albatross instead of the county focusing on maintaining our county roads. They can never charge enough green fees to compensate the public for all the millions spent over the years. Nor ever realize an annual profit, such as a real private commercial business would.
This guys sounds miserable. Sounds like he needs to relax and play some golf!
