WALDORF, Md. — First responders rushed to the scene of a traumatic injury earlier today involving a lawn maintenance worker who was hurt while operating a riding mower.
According to dispatch, the incident occurred just after 12:30 p.m. at the 1000 block of St. Ignatius Drive in Waldorf. The victim reportedly struck a tree stump with a riding mower, causing injuries to his chest.
Charles County EMS crews provided immediate medical attention at the scene before transporting the injured worker to Charles Regional Medical Center for further treatment. The patient’s current condition is not yet known.
