Child Flown Out After Vehicle Crash In California, MD

CALIFORNIA, Md. – On October 23, 2024 at approximately 10:38 a.m., fire and rescue personnel responded to a motor vehicle accident on Indian Bridge Road near Long Bow Drive. 

Crews arrived to find the single vehicle in a ditch with one child reportedly injured. EMS evaluated the child on the scene and requested a MEDEAC due to injuries.

Firefighters established a landing zone in the field nearby for Maryland State Police, Trooper 2. The patient was subsequently airlifted to Children’s National Hospital for care.

Police continue to investigate the collision.
