Chopticon High Schoolโ€™s Bravehouse Productions will present Joseph Kesselringโ€™s Arsenic and Old Lace on Thursday, November 15; Friday, November 16; and Saturday, November 17; in the Chopticon High School Auditorium. All shows will begin at 6:00 pm, with doors opening at 5:30 pm. Tickets are $6 for adults and $4 with a student ID.

Arsenic and Old Lace is the infamous tale of two elderly sisters (Abby and Martha Brewster) who are well-known in their 1940โ€™s Brooklyn community for their acts of kindness and charity.ย  Unfortunately, this โ€œcharityโ€ also includes poisoning their lodging guests; lonely old men with no family.ย  The Brewster sisters are assisted by a nephew who believes himself to be Teddy Roosevelt. Teddy tends to the dead by burying them in basement which he has fashioned to look like the Panama Canal.ย  Things get even more chaotic when nephew Mortimer discovers a body and a long lost nephew Jonathan returns to the Brewster residence.ย  Trying to protect them from is sinister brother and the fate of prison, Mortimer fashions a plan to move the sisters and Teddy to Happy Dale, a mental institution.ย  Mortimer happily departs with fiancรฉe Elaine, but before they leave for Happy Dale, the sisters receive one last, very special visitorโ€ฆ

Chopticon High Schoolโ€™s Theatre premiered as Bravehouse Productions in 2009 with the fall play Twelve Angry Jurors.
