St. Mary’s County, MD – The National Weather Service in Baltimore MD/Washington has issued a Coastal Flood Warning, which is in effect until 8 p.m. this evening.
Water is expected to cover roads on St. Georges Island, be in yards, and approach structures. To the east, inundation is expected at multiple marinas off St. Mary`s River,
Smith Creek, and Jutland Creek. Shoreline inundation up to one foot above ground is possible elsewhere.
Around the time of high tide. High tide at Point Lookout is at 5:47 p.m. this afternoon and 5:43 a.m. Friday morning. High tide at Piney Point is at 6:13 p.m. tonight and 6:46 a.m. Friday morning. High tide at Colton`s Point is at 6:49 p.m. tonight and 7:22 a.m. Friday morning.
A Coastal Flood Advisory has also been issued. This Coastal Flood Advisory is in effect from 8 PM this evening to 9 AM EDT Friday.
