College Savings Plans of Maryland, the independent Maryland State agency that offers two tax-advantaged 529 plans – the Maryland Prepaid College Trust and the Maryland College Investment Plan – has announced that it will be hosting a live, interactive webinar on December 14 at 12:00pm. The webinar will feature Joan Marshall, Executive Director of the College Savings Plans of Maryland, who will provide information about the Plans and be available to answer questions following the presentation.
Like all 529 plans, the Plans can be used across the country at most federally accredited schools, including many trade and technical schools. Plus any earnings are tax free as long as they are used for qualified higher education expenses. Best of all, the College Savings Plans of Maryland have a strong national reputation. The Maryland College Investment Plan recently received a “Top” rating from Morningstar, Inc.* for the second straight year.
