The Commissioners of St. Mary’s County will meet with members of the Southern Maryland Legislative Delegation to review proposals from the public for the development of the Board’s 2015 Legislative Package. The meeting takes place this evening, November 13, at 6:30 p.m. in the commissioners meeting room inside the Chesapeake Building.  Commissioner-approved proposals will be forwarded to the St. Mary’s County Delegation to the Maryland General Assembly. Only those proposals specific to St. Mary’s County will be considered.

Citizens were asked to submit written comments and suggestions during the summer. Submissions were accepted through October 10.

Members of the public are invited to attend and submit comments regarding the proposals. Citizens can go to http://www.stmarysmd.com/docs/2015%20Legislative%20Proposals.pdf to review the entire package.

Though the meeting is being conducted by current County Commissioners and Southern Maryland Delegation members, newly elected officials are expected to also attend.

Commissioners are scheduled to discuss and vote on the legislative proposals during their business meeting on Tuesday, November 18.

Tonight’s meeting will be televised live on St. Mary’s County Government TV 95 (SMCG TV 95) beginning at 6:30 p.m.
