Maryland State Delegate, Ron George (R-Annapolis) will be announcing his plans for the upcoming 2014 elections at a special event, Wednesday, June 5th 2013 at 6pm at the Sheraton Hotel in Annapolis, Maryland.

Delegate Ron George stated,” Our state has tremendous challenges ahead. We have neglected focusing on developing the private sector business opportunities for eight years and I feel that it is time we had a discussion about building a better Maryland. I look forward to announcing my plans to start that discussion on the evening of June 5th.”

Delegate Ron George has served in the Maryland House of Delegates since 2007. Delegate George serves on the Ways and Means Committee, Election Law Sub-Committee, Education Sub-Committee, Transportation Sub-Committee, Veterans’ Caucus, Sportsmen’s Caucus, The Commission on Campaign Finance Reform, and the Waterways Workgroup. He is the Founder and Chair of the Doctor’s Caucus. He serves on the American Legislative Exchange Council’s Tax and Fiscal Policy Task Force.

Delegate George was the recipient of the Annapolis Ronald Reagan Award and chosen Legislator of the Year by the Chamber of Commerce for his pro-small business, fiscal conservative success. He is the former Chair of the Anne Arundel Delegation.

Delegate George is a successful businessman, working in the private sector for over 40 years. He has been married to his wife Becky for 32 years. The George’s have six children and four grandchildren.
