Congressman Steny Hoyer (D-MD) will attend two 9/11 remembrance events in St. Maryโs and Calvert counties on Monday, Sept. 11.
In addition, he will tour the damage caused by the remnants of Tropical Storm Ernesto in St. Maryโs County.
His plans include an update from the Army Corps of Engineers on the completion of dredging at St. Jerome Creek and the status of the Corps’ study to determine the feasibility of constructing additional jetties there.
At 9:30 a.m., Hoyer is scheduled to attended the Little Flower School 9/11 remembrance ceremony in Great Mills.
At 10:30 a.m., he is scheduled to tour Ernesto Damage and receive the St. Jerome Creek Update, at Rodo Beach in Ridge.
At 7 p.m., Hoyer will attend the Chesapeake Beach 5th Annual 9/11 remembrance and candlelight vigil, at Veterans Park in Chesapeake Beach.
