Greenbelt, Maryland โ€“ Nicholas Edward Seskar, Sr., age 41, of Lusby, Maryland, pleaded guilty August 10 to attempting to induce a minor to engage in sex.

The guilty plea was announced by United States Attorney for the District of Maryland Rod J. Rosenstein; Special Agent in Charge Andre Watson of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcementโ€™s (ICE) Homeland Security Investigations (HSI); St. Maryโ€™s County Sheriff Tim Cameron; and St. Maryโ€™s County Stateโ€™s Attorney Richard Fritz.

In 2006, Seskar admitted to having sex with a 15 year old when he was 30 years old.ย  He pleaded guilty in the Circuit Court for St. Maryโ€™s County to one count of sex offense in the third degree and was sentenced.

According to his plea agreement, from March 23 to April 2, 2015, Seskar communicated on Facebook with an individual named โ€œTiffanyโ€ who he believed was 15 years old.ย  โ€œTiffanyโ€ was in fact an undercover law enforcement officer with the St. Maryโ€™s County Sheriffโ€™s Office.ย  Over time, his Facebook conversations became extremely graphic regarding the sexual acts he wanted to perform on โ€œTiffany.โ€ย  Seskar told the undercover police officer that he wanted to meet to have sex, and that he had slept with a 15 year old when he was 30 years old.

On April 2, 2015, Seskar arrived at a pre-arranged meeting place and was arrested by officers with the St. Maryโ€™s County Sheriffโ€™s Office.

As part of his plea agreement, Seskar must register as a sex offender in the place where he resides, where he is an employee, and where he is a student, under the Sex Offender Registration and Notification Act (SORNA).

Seskar and the government have agreed that if the Court accepts the plea agreement, Seskar will be sentenced to 15 years in prison.ย  U.S. District Judge Paul W. Grimm has scheduled sentencing for November 18, 2015 at 2:30 p.m.
