On July 5, St. Mary’s Sheriff Senior Deputy First Class Eric Walker responded to the CVS Store, Leonardtown, for the report of a Female subject attempting to pass a counterfeit twenty dollar bill.
A lookout was placed for the suspect and a suspect vehicle. Sdfc. Walker subsequently located the vehicle on Peninsular Drive, Hollywood.
Upon entering the yard of the residence Sdfc. Walker observed a female subject in the back yard near an open fire burning suspected counterfeit bills.
After making contact with the other resident Sdfc. Walker observed two marijuana smoking devices in plain view on an entertainment center.
Both occupants were placed under arrest. A search warrant was obtained and executed for the residence. As a result of the investigation, thirty-one counterfeit twenty dollar bills were recovered along with a computer used to make the counterfeit bills and CDS Paraphernalia.
Lois Doyle, 30, and Lisa Latham, 29, both of Hollywood were arrested, charged with 3 counts of Possession of Counterfeit Currency, Uttering False Document, Possession of Electronic Image of Currency. Both were incarcerated in the Detention Center pending an appearance before the District Court Commissioner.
