PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. — Armory Square welcomed a new business this week as Dash In celebrated its grand opening.

The new store is located at 465 Solomons Island Road N., Prince Frederick, alongside the other new businesses that have opened this year in the new Armory Square shopping area. Dash In is open 24 hours daily. In addition to being a place to buy gas, Dash In offers made-to-order food and drinks as well as standard gas station snacks.

Dash In first appeared on site plans for Armory Square back in 2024. The area has since welcomed Michael’s, ALDI, First Watch, Always Ice Cream, and, recently, Mathnasium, among others.

Residents were invited to the grand opening at the Prince Frederick Dash In, where the first 50 people in the door earned a gold tumbler, securing free fountain beverages for the next year. Gold tumblers are a popular promotional item at Dash In openings in Maryland, Delaware and Virginia, where the stores operate. Dash In is also expanding to North Carolina this year.

Deputies from the Calvert County Sheriff’s Office also visited the new Dash In before it opened, according to a Facebook post. The post said the deputies enjoyed a meet-and-greet, “strengthening relationships with our local business community.”

Businesses are still being added to Armory Square, and anyone interested can follow its development and all business updates in Calvert County by following the county’s New Businesses and What’s Going Where pages.

  1. Why do we need another dash in when there’s literally one a quarter mile away?

    1. Because frustration from idiots causing problems in even more idiotic placed/timed StopLights results in over-shopping to not deal with it again. Commissioners that approved the business, invested in stocks, had family members hired for the deal think that’s good for “business”.
