WALDORF, Md. – On July 17 at 10:17 a.m., crews from the Waldorf VFD responded to to the 4000 block of Broadbill Circle, Waldorf for the report of a house fire. Units arrived to the scene of a two-story, single family home with fire on the exterior corner of the garage.Firefighters worked quickly and had the fire under control within 10 minutes. The cost of damage of the fire is estimated to be $20,000.
Additional investigation revealed the fire was the result of improperly discarded smoking materials igniting nearby combustibles. There were no injuries as a result of this incident and the family was not displaced.
