LA PLATA, Md. – During the early hours of Sept. 26 crews responded to Eldelen Station Place in La Plata for the reported house fire. Upon arrival, a car fire located in the garage of a three-story home. According to Bill Smith of Charles County Volunteer Fire/EMS, 44 volunteer fire and EMS units from La Plata and surrounding departments responded and were able contain the fire to vehicle.
No injuries have been reported at this time. A full report from the Office of the State Fire Marshal is pending.
