On June 27, Corporal C. Earle responded to Rita’s in Lexington Park, for a report of a counterfeiting in progress.
Investigation revealed Stephen Louell Morgan, 38 of California, attempted to purchase ice cream using counterfeit currency.
Morgan fled the scene prior to the arrival of deputies but was stopped a short time later and arrested.
