A 13-year-old male of Lusby and a 14-year-old male of Bryans Road were both charged on youth reports with possession of a dangerous weapon after a complainant advised he observed them slice a tire on a vehicle at a home on Rawhide Road in Lusby.ย Dep. Robert Traas responded to the call on Aug. 3 at about 10:00 p.m.ย The two youths were located by Dep. Traas walking along Short Bow Trail.ย The fourteen-year-old was also charged with destruction of property.ย They were both released to a parent.
BB Sniper Sought
Dep. Aaron Locke responded to a home in Lusby on Aug. 1 at 11:30 p.m. for two destruction of property complaints. One victim advised that the prior evening at about 10:00 p.m. she was in the area of White Sands Drive and Circle Drive and heard three loud bangs.ย After examining her vehicle, it had been damaged by what appeared to be BBโs fired from a BB gun or something similar.ย The other victim advised that her vehicle had also been damaged while she was driving in the same area on August 1 at about 11:15 p.m. when she heard three loud bangs.ย The damage to the two vehicles is estimated at $300.ย Anyone with information is asked to contact Dep. Teen Charged for Pot
Dep. Richard Cox conducted a traffic stop in the area of Bay Avenue and 2nd Street in North Beach on July 27 at 9:12 p.m.ย The driver, later identified as a 17-year-old male of North Beach, was found to be in possession of suspected marijuana.ย He was charged on a youth report and released to a parent.
Appliances Boosted from New Home
A new home under construction on Barrington Lane in Sunderland was burglarized overnight between July 29 and 30.ย A refrigerator and microwave oven, both totaling $1500 in value, were taken.ย Anyone with information is asked to contact Dep. Richard Cox at 410-535-2800.
Bike Disappears from Library
A victim advised Dep. Thomas Tilley that while he was inside the Twin Beach Library on Harbor Road in Chesapeake Beach on July 30 between noon and 1:30 p.m., unknown suspect(s) stole his bicycle from the front of the building.ย The yellow and black Mongoose bicycle is valued at $180.ย Dep. Tilley will continue the investigation.
Purse Snatched at Calvert Bowl
A victim at the Calvert Bowl in Huntingtown advised Dep. Richard Cox that while she was bowling on Tuesday, July 31 at about 1:00 p.m., unknown persons took her purse which had been on the table behind her near the rear exit.ย The purse and its contents are valued at $20.ย Dep. Cox will continue the investigation.
