ST. MARY’S COUNTY, Md. — Authorities in St. Mary’s County are investigating reports of counterfeit money being used at multiple Girl Scout cookie booths, the sheriff’s office said Sunday.

Deputies, including Deputy Hill, responded to separate incidents involving fraudulent bills passed during cookie sales, officials said. The exact locations and number of booths affected were not immediately disclosed.
