Deputy responds to theft at dollar store which leads to discovery

Lexington Park, MD— Deputy A. Cole responded to the Family Dollar in Lexington Park, for a reported theft. After watching surveillance from the Family Dollar store, a lookout was placed for a suspect who left the store without paying for merchandise.

Sgt. Safford of the Lexington Park COPs Unit, observed a suspect matching the description from the Family Dollar theft in front of the library. The suspect, Keon Williams Sanders, age 27 of Lexington Park, was placed under arrest.

Further investigation revealed, Sanders had three active arrest warrants through St. Mary’s County.

He was transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center and charged with Theft Less Than $100  and was served his three active arrest warrants.
