CROWNSVILLE, Md. — Firefighters rescued a dog named Andy on Tuesday after he fell into an abandoned well in Anne Arundel County.
Crews from the West Annapolis, Severn and Jones Station fire stations responded July 7 to the 1000 block of Wallace Road for a report of a dog trapped inside a well.
Firefighters monitored the air inside the well before designing a rope-lifting system to safely bring Andy back to the surface.
The dog was removed from the well and reunited with his family.
No injuries were reported.
