Jason Patton
PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. – The Board of Education of Calvert County Public Schools has appointed Jason Patton to be the next principal of Dowell Elementary School. Mr. Patton will begin his duties at Dowell on July 1, 2018.
Dr. Daniel D. Curry, Superintendent, said, “Mr. Patton has served CCPS in a variety of leadership roles and is ready to lead as principal.” Mr. Patton received his Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education from Penn State University and his Master of Science in Curriculum and Instruction with a focus on Leadership from McDaniel College. He was a science resource educator in Charles County before joining Calvert County Public Schools as a science teacher at Northern Middle. He later served as the dean at Northern Middle and Mt. Harmony Elementary Schools before being appointed as the vice principal of Windy Hill Middle School.
He currently serves as the vice principal of Sunderland Elementary.
