Sean Marino Goins, 25 of Leonardtown, was arrested by St. Mary’s Sheriff’s Dfc. Anthony Whipey during a traffic stop in Lexington Park on April 2.
The driver failed to use a proper signal when turning. When the deputy approached the vehicle, he observed the driver reach under the seat.
Dfc. Whipkey reports that Goins acted nervous when contacted and was unsure of his destination.
The officer observed a clear, plastic baggie containing a white powered substance (suspected cocaine) on the rear floor board of the vehicle while speaking to the driver.
Goins was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance, cocaine.
