In December 10, 2013’s Commentary section of The Washington Times, Tom Fitton’s article “A Closer Look at the Benghazi Lie” raises some very disturbing points. He provides details concerning the new photographs just released by the State Department involving the terrorist attack on the US Consulate in Benghazi on September 11, 2012.
His position, after examination of these photos, is that this was “…a cold calculated attack, carefully coordinated to mark the 11th anniversary of Sept. 11, 2001”. He continues that this “…was not some spur-of-the-moment prank pulled by a couple of hyped-up Libyans coming off a YouTube binge”.
He becomes even more specific by stating that “Hyped-up hotheads are not normally armed with rocket-propelled grenades, hand grenades, AK-47s, FN F2000 NATO assault rifles, gun trucks and mortars”. And he points out what we already know – that these weapons were used during a five-hour attack on the compound which was surrounded by a 9-foot outer wall with barbed wire on top and was protected by additional security provisions.
By looking at the photos, we can see evidence of a truly massive attack – but also of a lie. He states that when the cover-up was launched, Obama, Hilary Clinton, and Susan Rice already knew they were lying.
The article goes on to state that although the State Department has released 30 new documents to Judicial Watch, it is still withholding other videos and live drone footage due to privacy issues.
