WALDORF, Md. – The Office of the State Fire Marshal continues to investigate the cause of the early Sunday morning structure fire in Waldorf.
On January 23, at approximately 5:18 a.m., fire and rescue personnel responded to the structure fire in the 14600 block of Havensbrook Drive. The homeowner was alerted to the fire by the odor of smoke in the basement.
Crews arrived on the scene to find the two-story home showing fire from the attached garage. Firefighters had the fire under control within 25 minutes.
No injuries have been reported. The estimated structure damage is $190,000.00 and contents of $10,000.00. Smoke alarms were present but not activated.
