Waldorf, MD — The Maryland State Fire Marshal is investigating a structure fire reported at approximately 6:10 a.m. on Quade Circle.
“The fire was reported by a neighbor who witnessed smoke and flames emitting from the rear of the garage,” the State Fire Marshal’s initial press release reads in part. “The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.”
The structure was a 20-foot by 30-foot two-story wood frame garage. There were no injuries reported, but there was an approximate $30,000 loss.
Fifty Waldorf Volunteer Firefighters responded controlling the blaze within 10 minutes after arriving on the scene.
The release read that the fire started on the exterior wood deck on the garage, adjacent to second story entrance.
