HOLLYWOOD, Md. — Firefighters from Leonardtown and Hollywood responded Monday night, Jan. 26, 2026, to a house fire in the 23900 block of McIntosh Road.

Units were dispatched around 8:40 p.m. to the one-story, single-family home. Crews arrived to find smoke showing from the attic. Engine Tanker 74 was the first unit on scene and advanced a 200-foot attack line to the first floor.

Firefighters opened the ceiling and located a working fire in the attic, which was brought under control before spreading to other areas of the residence. Searches of the home were negative.

Firefighters operated on scene for just over an hour before returning to service. No injuries were reported. The cause remains under investigation.
