
WHITE PLAINS, Md. — Firefighters responded Thursday evening to a house fire in White Plains after smoke was reported inside a home and flames were found in the garage area.
The fire was reported around 4:52 p.m. on June 25, 2026, in the 9300 block of Clifford Drive.
Dispatch notes initially reported a possible structure fire with a person possibly trapped inside the home. Firefighters later confirmed everyone was out of the residence.
Crews arrived to find light smoke showing from the house. Firefighters reported fire in the garage and began working to locate and contain the flames.

Command later reported the fire involved a room above the garage. Firefighters checked the basement, second floor and attic while crews worked inside and outside the home.
A ladder was brought to the rear of the house as crews checked for extension above the garage. The basement was not involved, and firefighters later reported no visible fire.
Primary and secondary searches of the home were completed with no one found inside.
The fire was brought under control around 5:28 p.m. Command later reported the fire was out and that power had been secured to the home.
Firefighters determined the fire was electrical in nature. No injuries were reported.
