St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Cpl. Ross responded on March 17 to a residence on Charles Way in Lexington Park for a report of an assault. Investigation revealed Roland Louis Fenwick, 49 of Lexington Park was engaged in a verbal dispute with the victim which escalated into a physical assault when Fenwick attempted to stab the victim with a knife.
The victim fled the residence and contacted the police.
Fenwick fled the residence prior to Cpl. Ross’s arrival but was located a short time later, arrested and charged with first and second degree assault.
