NANJEMOY, Md. – Commissioner President Reuben B. Collins, II, Esq. ordered the Charles County flag to be lowered to half-staff effective immediately and returned to full-staff at sunset today to honor David H. Summers, Sr., former President and lifetime member of the Ironsides Volunteer Rescue Squad and past Chief of the Nanjemoy Volunteer Fire Department.
Dave was the last Charter Member of this organization and remained active until Alzheimer’s prevented it during his last few years. He was also a past Chief of Nanjemoy Volunteer Fire Department, member of the Charles County Mobile Intensive Care Unit and a Charles County Dispatcher.
