At 10:01 am, on Friday, March 30 TFC Linger initiated a traffic stop on a black Dodge Neon for an equipment violation at Route 5, at Golden Beach Road in Mechanicsville.
Contact was made with the driver, John Kevin Nancarrow, 25, of Brandywine. TFC Linger observed marijuana on the driver’s side floorboard. Mr. Nancarrow was placed under arrest for possession of marijuana. A search incident to arrest revealed three partially burnt marijuana cigarettes in the center console ashtray and a plastic straw containing cocaine residue on the passenger floorboard.
Mr. Nancarrow was charged with possession of cocaine, possession of marijuana and CDS paraphernalia. He was transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center pending a bond review.
