INDIAN HEAD, Md. — The Charles County Chamber of Commerce will host the 2025 Health & Wellness Expo on Saturday, Aug. 16, bringing together health services, education and local resources for a free community event at the College of Southern Maryland Velocity Center in Indian Head.
The event will run from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and is open to the public at no cost with advance registration. More than 40 wellness vendors will be on site, along with interactive exhibits, hands-on activities and breakout sessions led by local healthcare professionals.
“Our goal is to make wellness resources more accessible to everyone in the community,” said Kathy Guzman, president and CEO of the Charles County Chamber of Commerce. “We are especially excited to bring this event directly to the Town of Indian Head and provide services that support both individual health and community well-being.”
A featured highlight of the expo includes free back-to-school physicals for students ages 13 and up, provided by Align Wellness Suite, a local primary care practice dedicated to holistic community health. Align is led by Margaret Mason, NP, a board-certified adult-gerontology nurse practitioner with more than 20 years of clinical experience and a deep commitment to service in Charles County.
