BRYANS ROAD, Md. — Ready to move, play and celebrate? Charles County’s Our Community in Motion – Westside Summer Festival will bring the fun to Bryans Road on Saturday, June 7, from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Ruth B. Swann Park. The free, all-ages event is packed with music, games, hands-on activities and plenty of ways to jump-start the summer.
The festival is part of the National Recreation and Park Association’s Family Health & Fitness Day, an annual campaign held on the second Saturday in June to promote active living and community wellness through parks. Charles County’s event will feature live music from DJ Detoxx, Rec Xpress games and crafts, fitness demonstrations, a sensory zone, STEM activities, local team performances and a rec sports area.
Community partner vendors and food trucks will provide goods, services and refreshments in a festive outdoor setting. Families can also join scavenger hunts and interactive learning stations throughout the day.
