PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. — The Grab n’ Go meal program is returning to Calvert County Public Schools (CCPS) this summer. Meal distribution will begin on July 2, 2025.
CCPS will partner with the Calvert County Department of Community Resources and the Calvert County Family Network to make sure students have access to nutritious meals during the summer months while school is out. Each meal kit includes five breakfasts, five lunches and a milk for each meal.
The meals will be distributed weekly from July 2 to Aug. 6 at the following schools: Calvert High, Huntingtown High, and Southern Middle. The program is open to eligible kids ages 2–18.
Any student who received free or reduced lunch in the 2024–2025 school year is eligible for the program. If one child in the household is eligible, all children between ages 2 and 18 are eligible, even if they’re not enrolled in CCPS. Students who did not receive free or reduced lunch during the year, or live in the county but aren’t CCPS students, may still be able to receive the meal kits.
Registration is required ahead of time. To participate or check eligibility, families must contact the CCPS Child Nutrition Office at 443-550-8680. Parents and guardians can choose a pickup site when they register.
