The contractors installing the pipe are currently working in the Huntingtown area. Being a resident of Huntingtown on Hunting Creek Road, we have been exposed to the constant parade or equipment and materials required to install this large pipeline thru our county. I work in the Washington D.C. suburb of Forestville and I leave my home early and return home late. When I arrive in the evening, I am constantly exposed to the large amount of mud on the street as I near my home at its intersection with Lowery Road. I have spoken to the personnel onsite several times with limited resolution to the problem. My neighbors driveway is covered sometimes with what seems to be about 2 to 4 inches of mud. He says he has been patient and asked them to clean it up only to have the mud washed back in with the evening road cleaning.
What recourse do we have against a large Giant like Dominion Gas.ย It is now in my front yard and i do not like it one bit. No one ever contacted us to discuss the interuption it would haveย on us and our lives. We have been putting up with the trucks for what seems like seven months now. Our neighbor Linda Molesworth a horse Vet has not had half of her horse farm available since early last year due to the amount of construction on her property. I have been told there are no regulations against the amount of dirt and mud being tracked out onto the road. What can be done to make them cleanup their mess to our satifiaction.
We are not asking for miracles, just what we had before they came.
