SOLOMONS, Md. – The last show of the Waterside Concert Series at Calvert Marine Museum will feature The Goo Goo Dolls and Collective Soul on Aug. 26 starting at 7 p.m.

Getting their start in 1986, The Goo Goo Dolls hit mainstream success in 1998 with tune “Iris.” Other hit tunes include “Slide,” “Give a Little Bit,” and “Stay With You.”

The band, currently comprised by John Rzeznik with lead vocals and guitar and Robby Takac in backing vocals and bass, released their latest album “Boxes” in May.

Collective Soul, the Georgia based rock band, will open the show with hits such their first hit single, “Shine”. They have recorded seven Number One rock hits.

Officials with the museum warn that traffic may be heavy due to the Solomons Dragonboat Festival also taking place the same weekend.
