WALDORF, Md. — Crustacean Nation, get ready to rock. Pop-punk legends and La Plata High School graduates Good Charlotte are coming back to Waldorf for an exclusive one-day event at Regency Furniture Stadium on Sunday, Aug. 3, 2025. The band will host a special listening party for their upcoming album, “Motel Du Cap,” during the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs’ game against the Gastonia Ghost Peppers.
The event includes a stadium-wide album preview, meet-and-greet opportunities, autograph signings, and a ceremonial first pitch thrown by the band — who famously named their breakout hit “WaldorfWorldwide” in honor of their roots in Charles County.

Listen First: ‘Motel Du Cap’ Exclusive Preview
Good Charlotte is gearing up to release “Motel Du Cap,” the band’s eighth studio album and their first full-length project in seven years. The album’s lead single — already generating buzz online — marks a return to their signature blend of pop-punk grit and emotional introspection, now with a modern edge.
While the album officially drops on Friday, Aug. 8, hometown fans in Waldorf will get an exclusive first listen as tracks play throughout Regency Furniture Stadium during the Sunday, Aug. 3 Blue Crabs game. The celebration begins at 2:05 p.m., with tickets starting at just $15 (purchase here).

Limited Edition Merch & Game Day Fun
A commemorative Good Charlotte Blue Crabs jersey will debut Aug. 3 and will be sold exclusively at the stadium’s Crab Shack team store. The band will be on hand to sign autographs, interact with fans, and celebrate with the community that helped launch their success.
Where: Regency Furniture Stadium, 11765 St. Linus Drive, Waldorf, Md.
When: Sunday, Aug. 3, 2025 – Game starts at 2:05 p.m.
Tickets: $15, on sale now
Please note: A $5 parking fee is now required for all game-day attendees who are not season ticket holders. Introduced in 2025, the Blue Crabs implemented this charge to support parking facility operations and maintenance. Fans are encouraged to pre-pay online or at the ticket gate to ensure a smooth arrival. Parking passes are valid only for the selected date and expire at midnight on game day.

La Plata High School: Where Good Charlotte Got Its Start
Good Charlotte’s story begins in the halls of La Plata High School in Charles County. Twin brothers Joel and Benji Madden, who graduated in 1997, launched the band while still students. Several of the early members, including drummer Aaron Escolopio and bassist Paul Thomas, also attended La Plata High School.
Joel Madden is married to Nicole Richie, TV personality and daughter of Lionel Richie, while Benji Madden is married to actress Cameron Diaz. The celebrity power couples are known for keeping a low profile — but with such a personal hometown celebration, fans can’t help but wonder: Will Nicole and Cameron be in the stands for the Blue Crabs game?
