Dayshawn M. Nolan
Lexington Park, MD— On May 2, St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Dustin McClure was approached by a citizen in Lancaster Park located at Willows Road in Lexington Park.
The citizen advised there was possible drug activity taking place in the bathroom, and the suspects entered a red Chevrolet Impala, which was sitting outside of the bathroom. McClure approached the vehicle and made contact with several individuals, including a suspect, identified as Deshawn M. Nolan, 22 of Hollywood.
McClure ran Nolan’s name through a warrant checking system with the Emergency Communications Center, and it was confirmed that Nolan had an active arrest warrant.
According to charging documents, McClure “searched the area where Nolan was sitting inside the vehicle where I located a loaded .22 caliber revolver, a quantity of suspected heroin and a quantity of suspected cocaine.”
Nolan was placed under arrest and transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center without incident. He was charged with two counts of CDS possession, not marijuana, and having a handgun in the vehicle.
Nolan has a hearing scheduled for July 21 in District Court. Nolan faces a maximum jail sentence of 11 years and/or a maximum fine of $52,500.
