police lights in Maryland

ANNAPOLIS, Md. — A tense night unfolded outside a bustling shopping center on January 15, 2025, when gunshots shattered the evening calm. Police officers rushed to the 1900 block of Towne Center Boulevard at approximately 10:15 p.m., responding to frantic reports of shots fired. Witnesses described a chaotic scene as three women fled in a white sedan moments after a brief altercation turned violent.

The swift response by Anne Arundel County police led to the stop of a white Mercedes matching the description just blocks away. Inside were three women now at the center of an investigation that uncovered troubling evidence. Officers recovered spent .38 caliber shell casings at the scene and later seized a .38 caliber Ruger handgun loaded with a chambered round and three additional live rounds from the vehicle.

Authorities identified Darshica Delores Allen, 43, as the alleged shooter. Allen, of Washington, D.C., faces charges including first-degree assault, reckless endangerment, and firearm use in a violent crime. Two other occupants, Lamiyah Angel Allen, 21, and Brittany Mae Richardson, 36, also of Washington, D.C., were arrested for their roles in the incident. Both face a litany of charges, ranging from handgun violations to disorderly conduct.

Despite the frightening events, no injuries were reported. The trio was released on their own recognizance after charges were filed. Police continue to piece together the sequence of events leading to the shots being fired.

  1. If someone fires a gun at someone that should be attempted murder. Released on their own recognizance? Someone is looking to be recalled.

  2. Discharging a firearm with no regard for the safety of others. Would they have been released if someone was struck? Why would they be released ? Obviously a danger to the public. Unbelievable.

  3. Rookie mistakes were made, leave your piece home when you’re PMSing ladies! Stay hydrated and make sure you eat something, it’s all part of gun safety ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
