(St. Maryโ€™s County, MD)ย  On April 2, 2015 at 9:55 p.m. troopers from the Leonardtown Barrack responded to the HV Liquors, McArthur BLVD, California, MD for a reported panic alarm.

When Troopers arrived on the scene, they made contact with the store clerk.ย  It was learned that the panic alarm was a result of an attempted robbery of the establishment.ย 

The suspect entered the establishment brandishing a hand gun and demanding currency from the cash register.ย ย  The cashier refused to comply, resulting in in the holdup alarm being activated.ย  The suspect exited the establishment and fled from the scene.ย 

St. Maryโ€™s County Sheriffโ€™s Office K-9 unit responded and attempted K-9 track on the suspect.ย  Maryland State Police-Criminal Enforcement Division, Central South Region was contacted and investigators responded to the store to assume the investigation.
The suspect is described as an African American male; 5โ€™6 to 5โ€™7 very thin approximately 150-160 pounds
