At 9 p.m. June 27, Charles County Sheriff’s officers responded to the report of shots fired on Legation Place in Waldorf.
Upon arrival, several witnesses advised officers a fight had taken place near the playground on Legation Place and a suspect fired several shots toward the playground and fled the scene in a two-toned vehicle. Two vehicles and steps in front of a residence were damaged by the fired rounds.
Officers searched the area and found a tan Oldsmobile with a marijuana cigar in plain view in the front seat.
The driver of the Oldsmobile, Andre Carlos Davis, 18, of Waldorf, was charged with possession of marijuana.
The suspects in the shooting were not located. No description of them was provided but the two-toned vehicle may have been a Lexus.
