At 10:43 pm,on Thursday, March 22, TFC Trossbach initiated a traffic stop on a brown Mercury Marquis on Rt. 235 in Lexington Park for failing to drive in a single lane.
Contact was made with the driver, John Edward Nunley, Jr., 30, of Tall Timbers and a strong odor of burnt marijuana was emitting from the vehicle. During the course of the traffic stop, Mr. Nunley was found to be in possession of a plastic bag of marijuana.
Mr. Nunley was arrested for possession of Marijuana and transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center pending a bond review.
