LUSBY, Md. – On January 14, 2025, Deputy Parrott observed a vehicle traveling 85 mph in a 55 mph zone in the area of Rt. 4 and Sweetwater Road in Lusby.
Deputy Parrott attempted to conduct a traffic stop when the vehicle began to accelerate, reaching speeds exceeding 90 mph while weaving through traffic. Deputies pursued the suspect vehicle with lights and sirens activated, however the driver failed to stop.
The vehicle continued southbound across the Thomas Johnson Bridge. Upon crossing the bridge, the driver, identified as Dylan Michael Barbieri, 22 of Port Republic, eventually pulled over and was taken into custody without incident.
A search of Barbieriโs person revealed concealed deadly weapons to include a pair of brass knuckles and a butterfly knife.
Barbieri was transported to the Calvert County Detention Center and charged with two counts of Concealing a Dangerous Weapon, Fleeing and Eluding, and Exceeding the Posted Speed Limit.

Did you really think you would have gotten away by going into St Marys .
There is something you could have done that would have gotten you fewer charges , however , I’m not saying … what exactly that is ….
It does start with not breaking the law
No but I had to throw stuff out on the bridge or else Id still be locked up. Think you know everything.
Who are you really? Donโt you have anything better to do than act as someone youโre not? Grow up.
Hope the hold him in DOC until his trial.
