21st Century Dreamteam Programs host a night of magic and illusion by way of The SuperMagicMan Illusion Show. This is a fundraiser for Spring Ridge Rhythm Club so they might reach their dreams and perform in New York City and to able to continue to perform around the DC Metropolitan Area. The Spring Ridge Rhythm Club is a performing arts group based out of the 21st Century Dreamteam Programs operating through St. Mary’s County Public Schools. The Rhythm Club is comprised of 20 very talented middle school students that get together after school and create heart pounding routines with a huge mix of beatboxing, singing, tapping, dancing, beating and drumming.
Over the past few years, the Rhythm Club has performed for a number of very large audiences including the NCAA Basketball Tournament, NBC’s America’s Got Talent, Team AIP Celebrity Streetball game featuring Beat Ya Feet Kings from America’s Best Dance Crew, St. Mary’s College & College of Southern Maryland Men’s Basketball Halftime Shows, Local and State Lights On Celebrations, multiple whole school PBIS Assemblies, National Association of Multicultural Education National Conference, NAACP Galas, Business Education Community Alliance (BECA) Auction and Breakfast events, and many more.
The group is very proud to recognize Mr. Ryan Gravelle as their mentor, leader, and director for the 6th consecutive year. They boast a 3.8 GPA and stay after each day to participate in an intensive academic program before rehearsal.
After School programs such as the Rhythm Club are creating huge change across the country with a proven track record of lowering crime rates and increasing opportunities for our youth to be successful. These clubs are giving the youth of today educational and enrichment activities to participate in rather than being home attached to a television or out on the street causing trouble.
