On January 12, 2011, at approximately 2:31 p.m., Anne Arundel County Police responded to the 100 block of Stone Point Drive in Annapolis for a report of a home invasion.

Upon arrival, officers located the 39-year-old female victim at the apartment rental office. Through the investigation, it was determined that the victim was in her apartment when she heard a knock at the door. The victim opened the door and a male subject, who appeared to her to be a maintenance worker, stated that he was there to check her heat. The victim allowed the subject into the apartment and he produced a handgun and announced a robbery. The victim gave the
suspect money, but he proceeded to assault her with the handgun. The suspect then took personal property and eventually left in an unknown direction. The victim ran to the leasing office for assistance.

Numerous officers and a K-9 unit canvassed the area, but were unable to locate the suspect. Anyone with information on this incident is urged to contact the Southern District Detective Unit at (410) 222-1965.
