On June 20, a victim on Solomons Island Road in Huntingtown reported to Dfc. David Denton that an unknown suspect(s) attempted to steal his motor vehicle that day at about 3:20 p.m.
Someone inside the home observed the attempted theft taking place and stepped outside to stop the would-be thief.
The suspect then fled the scene and was unable to be located.
Damage to the vehicle is estimated at $2,300. Dfc. Denton will continue to investigate.
