PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. — A 43-year-old Huntingtown woman is facing a series of charges after what authorities describe as a multi-county shoplifting spree this summer. Charging documents allege the incidents involved everything from baby supplies to snacks and culminated in a traffic stop where deputies say she attempted to hide cocaine on her fiancé and was later found with a crack pipe concealed in her underwear.

The series of events came to a head on Aug. 7, 2025. According to charging documents, after deputies identified Heather Lynn Davis as a suspect in a Wawa theft in Prince Frederick, they found her in the back of a vehicle during a traffic stop. Deputies said they observed Davis attempting to pass an orange pill bottle to her fiancé. The bottle allegedly contained a small amount of suspected cocaine and a cut plastic straw.

A subsequent search by a female deputy allegedly revealed another container with a white powdery substance hidden in Davis’ underwear. Later, while being processed at the Calvert County Detention Center, a master deputy reported locating an improvised glass smoking device, also concealed in her underwear. Davis was charged with theft, possession of cocaine and paraphernalia, obstructing and hindering, and possessing contraband in a place of confinement.

The driver of the vehicle, Kevin Darnell Commodore, 38, of Lusby, was also charged in connection with the incident. According to court records, he faces misdemeanor charges of possession of a controlled dangerous substance (not cannabis) and possession of paraphernalia. The possession charge carries a maximum penalty of up to one year in prison and a $5,000 fine. He was released on his own recognizance and has a trial scheduled for Oct. 21, 2025.

Authorities reported that the Aug. 7 arrest followed a string of earlier incidents. On Aug. 6, Davis was allegedly identified on video stealing food items from the same Wawa. In late July, she was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, including what deputies said was a suspected crack pipe, during a separate traffic stop in Calvert County.

Court records show Davis was released on her own recognizance after her Aug. 7 arrest and has multiple court dates scheduled in the coming months.
